Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Assures No One Is Above The Law — Not Even Ministers
According to Ismail Sabri, who is also the Defence Minister, everyone "will face the music".

Anyone who violates the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are in place to curb the COVID-19 transmission "will face the music"
This is according to Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who assured that all cases involving breach of the SOPs will be investigated and no one will escape the law if caught violating the COVID-19 SOPs.
"No one is above the law, whether they are ministers or deputy ministers, they will face the music," Ismail Sabri was quoted as saying by Bernama today, 22 August, in Tanjung Malim.
Ismail Sabri, who is also the Defence Minister, added that it is however up to the Ministry of Health (MOH) to decide on the punishment
"However, it is up to the Health Ministry to decide on the punishment, whether to issue compound or others," he said when asked to comment on the issue concerning Plantations and Commodities Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali, who breached mandatory quarantine rules.
Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali being bestowed the Honorary rank of Commissioner in the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) on Wednesday, 19 August.
