A Woman In Singapore Allegedly Threw A 50-Inch TV From Her 10th Floor Condo Unit

She was arrested following the incident.

Earlier this week, a 31-year-old woman in Singapore allegedly threw a 50-inch television set off her 10th floor condominium unit

The incident happened at a condo in 6 Pasir Ris Link at about 3pm on Monday, 28 October, The New Paper reported via Shin Min Daily News.

The woman is said to be a single mother of a two-year-old

The toddler was in the unit at the time of the incident.

Following which, the Singapore Civil Defence Force received an alert at about 4.30pm and took the toddler by ambulance to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

The woman had moved into the condo unit with her child about a year ago,
Shin Min Daily News was reported as saying by The New Paper.

One of the residents at the condominium said that at the time of the incident, his family members, who were setting up a barbecue, got frightened by the crashing sound of the TV set hitting the ground

"A 50-inch TV set landed on the public path on the ground floor. Bits of it even landed on a balcony on the second floor. It was unbelievable, why and how would someone throw a television set down like that?" the 43-year-old man said.

"Fortunately, no one was passing by at the time," he added.

The walkway the TV landed on leads to the condominium's swimming pool and fitness facilities.

The woman has since been arrested

The police said that the 31-year-old woman was arrested in relation to the case on the same day and for suspected drug use.
