FIFA has launched an online sale offering physical grass samples taken from the New York New Jersey Stadium pitch, the official venue hosting the upcoming 2026 World Cup final
Starting at USD450 (RM1,835), football fans can own a section of the playing surface preserved inside an acrylic resin block.
However, official distribution guidelines state that shipments will only be sent after the final whistle on 19 July. Deliveries are also strictly restricted to buyers residing in the US, the UK, and European nations.
Manufactured by UK-based memorabilia producer Keep Stub, each resin block comes inscribed with the official 2026 World Cup logo, match date, venue details, and the final scoreline
Buyers will also receive a USB drive containing an official 'authenticity film' documenting the provenance of the turf. The commercial partnership features four distinct pricing tiers set at USD450 (RM1,835.10), USD900 (RM3,670.20), USD1,200 (RM4,893.60), and USD3,000 (RM12,234.00).
With production capped at exactly 2,026 units per tier, a complete sell-out across all categories would generate over USD11.2 million (RM45.67 million) in total revenue for the global governing body.

While the three lower-priced tiers contain a compact grass section measuring 2.5 inches square, the top-tier "Hero Edition" features a larger 3-inch block alongside a gold-etched souvenir ticket, a mini replica match ball, and a crystal-cut glass World Cup trophy.
Interestingly, the playing surface itself has drawn criticism from international stars. Sourced from a turf farm in North Carolina and installed in early May, players from France and Brazil described the pitch as dry and difficult to play on during earlier tournament rounds.
