The RM100 MADANI book voucher for all secondary school students under the Ministry of Education and students at public universities nationwide can be redeemed starting tomorrow, 1 July

The announcement was made by Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh in the Dewan Rakyat today, 30 June.

According to Business Today, Wong said more than 2.2 million students will be eligible to receive the RM100 e-voucher under the MADANI Book Voucher 2026 programme, which has an allocation of RM221.6 million.

Students can redeem their vouchers from 1 July until 31 October.

Vouchers can only be redeemed and used on designated online platforms

Secondary school students can redeem their vouchers and purchase books on the Book Capital platform, while public university students can use the MySiswaPlace portal.

Wong had earlier said the vouchers would be distributed digitally to improve transparency.

"This system ensures full transparency and that all allocations are used to purchase books. It also allows us to ensure there is no leakage," he told The Star.

Wong explained that the ministry switched to a fully digital system in 2024 after receiving complaints that some recipients had sold physical book vouchers at discounted prices instead of using them to buy books

"We do not want that to happen again. That is why the ministry introduced the digital and online system in 2024.

"The advantage is that students not only in urban areas, but also those in rural and remote areas, can easily purchase books and have them delivered directly to them," he said.
