The teacher had not returned to the school since 30 September.

Meanwhile, FMT reported that the teacher had tested positive for the virus while in Kelantan.

Students and staff members at the school were ordered to self-quarantine immediately.

"The teacher had already been under home quarantine in Kelantan after coming into contact with an infected individual, but the principal has now ordered students and teachers alike to take the necessary precautions," FMT reported the member of the teaching staff as saying.

"We are waiting for further instructions from the Ministry of Education," he added.

According to the report in theSundaily, the teacher has been on self-quarantine since 30 September.

"The Petaling Health District Office has instructed all students from the classes involved and some teachers to undergo home quarantine while waiting for results from swab tests," it quoted the administration staff as saying.
