Two brothers died in a tragic stand-off in Tenom, Sabah, after a 57-year-old man allegedly shot his sibling with a homemade shotgun
The 54-year-old victim, a local gardener, died after being shot eight times in the back.
According to Berita Harian, the incident occurred around 8am in Kampung Kangkawang, Jalan Kemabong on 29 March.
The suspect allegedly used a bakakuk (homemade shotgun) to kill his sibling. Authorities believe the man may have been struggling with mental health issues at the time of the attack.

Villagers warned that the armed suspect was hiding inside a house and threatened to shoot anyone who approached.
After the suspect refused to surrender three times, police deployed tear gas to force him out.
The situation turned critical when he charged towards a kitchen window while aiming his weapon at officers.
Fearing for their safety, officers fired three shots, hitting the man in his chest, ribs, and arm. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The suspect then collapsed in the kitchen area before being confirmed dead at the scene," Azmir said.
Forensic inspection revealed a live bullet still inside the chamber of the bakakuk.
The police seized the bakakuk, ammunition, and a machete. The case is being investigated for murder and attempted murder, respectively.
