This Man Could Be Facing 10 Years In Jail For Stealing 30 Eggs In Terengganu

He is charged under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft in a dwelling.

Eddy Ezry Nordin, a civil servant residing in Terengganu, could be jailed up to 10 years for stealing 30 grade-A eggs from a supermarket

The accused, Eddy Ezry Nordin, 32, at the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate yesterday, 4 October.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft in a dwelling yesterday, 4 October at the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate.

However, Sinar Harian reported that he could face up to 10 years of jail time if convicted.

It was reported that the accused was caught by a security guard who noticed his suspicious behavior in a supermarket on 26 September

Besides the 30 eggs, The Star reported that the accused also stole other items from the supermarket that amounted to a total of RM128.39.

Bail was allowed for the accused but the case is set for mention on 13 October

Judge Noradila A. Latif allowed Eddy Ezry Nordin to be released on RM4,000 with one surety.
