Caroline Ng Yi-Wye has created history by becoming the first Malaysian to be world number one in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) examination
The Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) student scored the highest marks globally for the 'Strategic Business Leader' subject in the ACCA examination in December 2019.
TAR UC took to their official Instagram page yesterday, 17 January, to congratulate Ng, describing her examination results as a "world-class achievement".
Ng was also congratulated by Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong
The MCA president commended her in a post on his official Facebook page, where he also mentioned that TAR UC, which was established by MCA, will always ensure that high quality education is provided at an affordable price.
Moreover, this is not the first time that Ng's achievements have been lauded
In July 2019, TAR UC announced on its website that a team of six TAR UC students, one of which was Ng, participated in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (‘ICAEW’) Malaysia Business Challenge 2019.
The competition, which took place on 26 April last year, challenged participants to apply their creativity and innovation through business case studies.
The TAR UC team managed to overtake 20 other teams to successfully bag the Most Innovative Team award.
