Three Prisoners Escape From Inside Of A Jail In A Helicopter
The three men broke out of a prison north of Quebec City after a helicopter landed on the prison grounds, picked them up, and then flew away.
Three inmates have escaped from a detention center in Quebec City with the help of a helicopter. The escape happened about 7:45 p.m. local time.
Three Canadian prisoners made a daring escape from Orsainville Detention Center, near Quebec City, Saturday evening when a helicopter dropped down and picked them up, according to the AP. The helicopter flew off toward the west and the men were not immediately recaptured. It's the second helicopter-aided inmate escape in Quebec province in two years.

Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, a spokesperson for the Surete du Quebec, the provincial police force, said police were searching for a green helicopter with red and white markings that landed at the prison, though she didn’t know whether it landed in a prison yard, on a building or nearby. She said it was last seen heading west from Quebec City.

During the bust, police confiscated a plane, 41 vehicles, and a stockpile of weapons, among other things. They are believed to have connections to the Hells Angels.

The previous incident happened in March of 2013 when a pilot was forced at gunpoint to pick up two men from another prison in Quebec, according to the AP.
