Turkish Airlines Thanks Malaysian Doctor For Responding To Fainted Patient Onboard
"Heartfelt gratitude to Dr Syazwani, a true hero on our Istanbul to Kuala Lumpur flight," tweeted the airlines.
A Malaysian doctor recently came to the rescue of a passenger who fainted onboard a Turkish Airlines flight
The selfless feat has since been lauded by the airlines on social media.
"Heartfelt gratitude to Dr Syazwani, a true hero on our Istanbul to Kuala Lumpur flight," tweeted the airlines last Friday, 29 September.
"When a fellow passenger fainted, Dr Syazwani came to the rescue. We are immensely proud of her courage and compassion," they added.
The incident was captured by a fellow passenger, who shared his own account of the inflight medical emergency
"I was onboard a Turkish Airlines flight back to Kuala Lumpur from Istanbul. A Turkish old lady fainted due to high blood pressure," said X, formally known as Twitter, user Mohsen Alkaff.
"The whole plane panicked until a Malaysian doctor, Dr Syazwani, came to the rescue. Such a heroic tale. So proud of Dr Syazwani," added the bystander.
He also posted two photos of the incident, whereby the doctor can be seen tending to a passenger lying down on the floor, as the cabin crew assists.
His tweet went viral with over 14,000 likes and garnered countless of praise for the doctor's quick response to helping a stranger in public
"Help without being asked for? That's a daily thing for us, Malaysians," replied a proud Malaysian.
Meanwhile, many others took note of the doctor's headscarf, embellished with a Barbie logo, and pointed out how apt it was to describe her.
"Aww, a real life Barbie doctor!" gushed an X user.
Another said, "Go Dr! Go Barbie! Well done, and thank you."
