Footage showing a pickup truck ramming a double-parked sedan is now going viral on social media

Sin Chew reported that the incident happened last Sunday, 5 August, along Jalan Dato Poo Yew Choy in Bentong, Pahang.

Media reports said the driver of Toyota Hilux had emerged from a nearby bar and entered his vehicle at about 11.37pm

The Hilux driver then honked a few times. Moments later, he reversed into the Honda which, according to Malaysiakini, was driven by Wong Thim Cheong, the former aide to MCA president Liow Tiong Lai.

Wong is seen running out from a nearby coffee shop to plead with the Hilux driver to stop. The driver ignored him and rammed into the car five more times.

According to a police report lodged by Wong, he had parked behind the 4WD because there were no available parking bays nearby

He also claimed he had left a name card on the dashboard while accusing the 4WD driver of threatening to harm him physically, Malaysiakini reported.

Meanwhile, the pickup truck owner said in his police report that he had honked for 30 minutes, conflicting with witness accounts revealing that the honk was not sounded for that long

A witness, also a friend of the truck driver, told Sin Chew that his friend rammed into the Honda because he was agitated and growing impatient.
