A Malaysian soldier recently went viral after he displayed a thoughtful act of kindness.

In a short video that has been circulating on social media, he can be seen helping a woman on a wheelchair put on a face mask and gloves.

On Wednesday, 8 April, Khairul Zulkefli wrote on Facebook, "This mak cik has a disability, she wanted to go to NSK but was not wearing a mask. So we gave her a mask and gloves. She went to shop for items alone, no one was helping her. She could only buy things after she received the PRIHATIN payout. Godspeed."

The post has since garnered over 37,000 shares.

Worried that she was in trouble, the woman explained to the soldier that she just dropped by to get a few items.

The considerate army officer then reassured her that it was completely fine.

He said, "It's okay, mak cik. You're not doing anything wrong at all. Go ahead. Peace be upon you, take care."

Netizens were moved by the soldier's compassion and showered him with praise

One person wrote, "I'm so proud of our country! Even our army [has] got a soft hand in helping others! Bless that man and may that mak cik always be safe."

"Good job, soldier. One of the good examples as a trained soldier," commented another user.

Another netizens said, "Small deed but really meaningful. Keep it up, Malaysian Army (ATM). Salute you guys."
