Earlier this month, a local woman fell into a drain after stepping on its cover along the footpath outside a restaurant on Jalan Lobak, Seremban
The woman was seen exiting the restaurant when she unexpectedly fell into the shallow drain, which was about three feet deep and two feet wide, leaving her wedged between its walls.
Other diners at the restaurant quickly to her aid, pulling her out of the drain.
According to the New Straits Times, witnesses claimed that the iron rods supporting the drain cover were rusted and broken, raising concerns about their ability to bear weight.
