Kuching Man Fined RM2,500 For Threatening To Kill His Ex-Girlfriend's New Partner
He faces an eight-month jail term if he fails to pay the fine.

The Kuching Magistrates Court has fined a man RM2,500 for threatening to murder his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend earlier this week
Magistrate Mason Jaro Lenya Barayan sentenced Jack Jebat, 30, to a fine of RM2,500 or eight months' jail in default after he pleaded guilty to a charge under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
The section carries a jail term of up to seven years, or a fine, or both upon conviction.
Jack was accused of committing the offence in Tabuan Tranquility at around 1.22am on Monday, 17 February.
On the night of the incident, the suspect went to his ex-girlfriend's room and caused a commotion, leading to an argument between them
Jack threatened to murder his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend, saying, "Aku mok bunuh boyfriend kau ya sebab Aku sik puas hati dengannya" (I want to kill your boyfriend because I'm dissatisfied with him).
The threat caused the woman and her new partner to fear for their safety, according to The Borneo Post.
She then filed a police report and Jack was arrested on 18 February.
During sentencing yesterday, 19 February, the court ordered Jack to serve eight months in jail if he fails to pay the fine. Jack did not have legal representation.
