Video Shows VIP Escort Crashing Into A Proton Saga On North-South Expressway
The impact of the police car crashing into the Proton caused its driver to scream in shock while a child inside began crying loudly.

A video of a speeding police car escorting an unidentified VIP convoy crashing into a Proton Saga on the North-South Expressway (NSE) has gone viral, sparking widespread criticism on social media
The crash, captured in a 54-second dashcam video, occurred at KM259 of the expressway heading south on Saturday, 16 November.
The footage shows vehicles in the middle and fast lanes slowing down as a police patrol car with activated sirens and strobe lights approaches in rainy conditions.
The convoy, which included a Toyota Vellfire believed to be transporting the VIP, attempted to filter between the lanes but encountered an obstruction further ahead.
As civilian vehicles slowed, the trailing police escort, seemingly caught off guard by the bottleneck and poor visibility due to the heavy rain, accelerated before colliding with the stationary Proton Saga.

It's unclear whether the child was hurt or crying out of fear.
The crash severely damaged the Proton, with its driver's side rear quarter panel crushed nearly up to the C-pillar.
Following the incident, Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said that an investigation is underway.
"We have received information regarding the crash involving a police vehicle escorting a VIP on the NSE," he said, adding that police are gathering additional details and encouraged members of the public with information about the crash to come forward to with assist the investigation.
Meanwhile, the clip sparked public outrage over the use of high-speed VIP convoys, especially in poor weather conditions
Many netizens criticised the danger these convoys pose to public safety, calling for stricter regulations on police escorts.
The crash has reignited debates about the risks of such escorts, particularly on busy highways, and the accountability of those involved.
For the record, VIP convoys with police escorts have the right of way and anyone obstructing them can be fined RM10,000 and jailed for two years under the Police Act 1967.
