A woman was allegedly seen kicking kittens at a rest stop in Pahang after confronting a group of youths for feeding stray cats

The incident was shared on Threads by two users, who claimed that the woman questioned why they were spending money on feeding strays before allegedly approaching the kittens and kicking them.

According to Threads user @mdaudyusof, he was travelling from Tangkak to Rompin with his family when they stopped at the RISDA R&R in Keratong, Pahang so his child could use the toilet.

While waiting, he noticed the woman approaching a group of youths who were feeding a mother cat and her kittens.

He claimed that the woman asked, "Why are you feeding them?", to which he replied that the cats were hungry.

However, he claimed the woman then walked towards the kittens and kicked them, sending one of them flying several metres away

"What's the point of feeding cats? Why waste your salary buying cat food?" she allegedly said.

Another Threads user @syhirahmn, who was among the youths feeding the cats, said she was shocked by what had happened.

"I was speechless. Is it wrong to feed them?" she wrote.

She said she initially thought the woman was upset because the cats had made a mess of the area. However, the situation allegedly escalated after the woman repeatedly questioned why they were feeding the animals and became increasingly angry.

The woman eventually left the area after being confronted

Syahirah said the kitten appeared unharmed and continued eating and playing after the incident.

She also urged the public to show more compassion towards stray animals.

"If you don't want to feed them, that's okay, but please don't hurt them," she said.

She also encouraged anyone interested in adopting the kittens to visit the RISDA R&R in Keratong.
