A woman has died after rushing back into a burning house to rescue family members

The incident occurred in Kampung Darau, Menggatal, Sabah, this morning, 21 August, reported Harian Metro.

According to villagers, Nurul Asyiqin Alinor, 29, had initially escaped from the burning house but was believed to have gone back inside after realising that her grandmother, Loupin Adow, 67, and her uncle Azman Maduin, 50, were still inside.

However, the woman's attempt was unsuccessful as the fire grew fiercer, trapping all three of them inside the burning house.

The three family members were found dead by the fire and rescue team after they managed to bring the blaze under control at 2.10am.
