Woman In Penang Drops Her ID Card Inside Ballot Box

Earlier today, 12 August, a woman placed her ID card along with her ballot inside the ballot box at a polling station in Penang
The incident is reported to have taken place at SJK(C) Chung Hwa 1, Butterworth.
The woman, who is in her 80s, accidentally placed both her ID card and ballot into the ballot box.
She now has to wait until the ballot box is opened for counting at the end of the day
Due to the regulations requiring authorised access to the ballot box seal, the voter was informed that she would need to wait until the evening when the ballots were being counted.
At that time, she could then go to the school to retrieve her ID card.
