A woman's corpse was found in the bathroom of a house in Pandamaran, Klang on Sunday, 3 December

According to Berita Harian, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said they received a distress call at 11.39pm to remove a body from a masonry bathtub in the house in Kampung Pendamar.

Firefighters from the Port Klang Fire and Rescue Station took more than two hours to break the cement that covered the bathtub with Paratech tools and hacker machines.

"When the cement breaking work was about 70% done, an adult woman's body was found in the bathtub.

"The body was then removed and handed over to the police," the department said in a statement.

A resident, who saw the body being carried out of the house, described it as resembling a lump of clay and emitting a foul smell.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the police received a report from a man believed to be owner of the house on Sunday regarding the discovery of the body

Investigations revealed that the complainant rented out his house to two foreign men for two years from August 2019 to October 2021, reported the New Straits Times.

Before renting the house out to a new tenant, he inspected the house and discovered a section of the bathroom was sealed up with cement.

When he asked the two tenants about it, they explained that water dripping from decomposing rats in the wall was leaking into the water reservoir, which prompted them to fix it by cementing and covering it.

The owner then proceeded to rent the house out to other tenants without any suspicion.

The body was discovered after the owner started roof repair work at the house last month, more than two years after the foreign men moved out.

The police have since arrested a man that they believe is connected to the case

They are also currently searching for two foreign men, namely Ranjit Singh and Mandeep Singh.

Hussein Omar said the two suspects are the previous tenants of the house.

Investigations are being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, and the victim's body has been sent to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for an autopsy, reported Sinar Daily.

Police are currently searching for the two men to help with the investigation.
