Woman Warns Of Pickpockets At Pratunam Bangkok After Bag Gets Allegedly Sliced Open

A woman recently shared a public service announcement to be on guard when visiting Pratunam, Bangkok after her friend's bag was allegedly sliced open by a pickpocket

The Filipino woman, who goes by @teammcclear on TikTok, posted a video several days ago showing that her friend's tote bag was sliced open at the sides at Pratunam.

According to the woman, her friend's passport, money, and cellphone were almost stolen.

In the video, the slices, which were found on the front and back of the bag, appeared to have been done with an extremely sharp object, such as a knife or blade

"If you're going to Pratunam, Bangkok, beware of pickpockets. My friend's passport, money, and cellphone were almost stolen," she explained in the translated caption.

If you're unfamiliar with Bangkok, Pratunam is an area that is popular for its wholesale shopping outlets, bazaars, and street markets

Many tourists frequent the shopping district, which has Platinum Fashion Mall, Pratunam Market, Palladium World Shopping Mall, and bazaars.
