The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has announced that the winners of the 2026 World Cup will receive championship rings alongside the traditional gold medals and iconic trophy
The special commemorative rings will make their debut on 19 July at the New York New Jersey Stadium, when Spain face defending champions Argentina in the final.
According to Xinhua, the rings are part of an exclusive, limited-edition collection of 2,026 individually numbered pieces.
The winning squad will receive 30 rings, while global fans can purchase the remaining 1,996 pieces
Each ring features the tournament's famous trophy on one side.
The opposite side will be fully customised to reflect the identity and heritage of the winning nation, creating a unique cultural element for a sport deeply rooted in tradition.
FIFA drew inspiration from US professional sports leagues, where championship rings have long been used as symbols of victory and achievement.
