PM Anwar Splits Communications And Digital Ministry Into 2 New Ministries

Gobind Singh is the new Digital Minister and Fahmi has been redesignated as the Communications Minister.

Gobind Singh Deo has been appointed as Digital Minister while Fahmi Fadzil has been redesignated as the Communications Minister

In the new cabinet lineup, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has split several ministries into two, including the Communications and Digital Ministry.

Gobind, who is also Damansara member of parliament, will helm the newly established Digital Ministry

Meanwhile, Hulu Rajang member of parliament Datuk Ugak Anak Kumbong will assist Gobind as deputy minister.

MP Fahmi Fadzil has been redesignated as the Communications Minister

He will work closely with his deputy, Teo Nie Ching.

The role and jurisdiction of the newly formed ministries will be revealed in the coming days

Anwar said the changes made to the cabinet lineup took into account not only the ministers' track record but also other factors like economic growth, and the cost of living among others.
