The BMW iX M60 and BMW M2 were recently unveiled at the iconic Sepang International Circuit, the home of Malaysian motorsports, during the exciting M4NTAP Festival 2023

In case you didn't know, BMW M is the motorsports division of the blue-and-white roundel, which takes typical family sedans from the standard BMW fleet and transforms them into laser-focused performance cars. These machines can effortlessly conquer Nürburgring lap times with ease and still maintain the appearance of a practical family car.

Meanwhile, the "i" in BMW models is used to identify the luxury car brand's all-electric models.

First of all, the BMW iX M60 marks BMW's latest all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) carrying the esteemed M badge

The iX M60 boasts an impressive 455 kW/619hp output and an outstanding electric range of up to 561km (WLTP), solidifying its position as one of the fastest electric models in BMW's portfolio of premium performance vehicles.

The M2, on the other hand, is the brand's latest compact performance sedan

It is powered by a three-litre M TwinPower Turbo straight-six engine, producing an impressive 460hp (330 kW) and 550Nm of torque. Thanks to key optimisations, such as a new lightweight crankshaft, a racetrack-designed oil supply/cooling system, and high-pressure injection at 350 bars, the M2 delivers exceptional performance. Paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, the engine propels the BMW M2 from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 250km/h.

Being in the cockpit of both these road monsters doesn't mean you miss out on the ultimate driving pleasure

Take the iX M60, for example. Despite being in an all-electric SAV, it's far from silent. BMW has teamed up with composer Hans Zimmer to create an emotive sound design through BMW M IconicSounds Electric.

In the M2, drivers will undoubtedly be accompanied by the aural bliss of the high-revving straight-six engine, complete with pops and crackles, courtesy of the hallmark M twin tailpipes.
