Boost To Start Testing Its Upcoming Digital Bank With Selected Customers

The bank is going through its alpha-testing phase.

Boost Bank is scheduled to commence its digital banking operations in Malaysia on 15 January 2024

Boost and RHB Bank have officially announced that their new digital bank has received approval from both Bank Negara Malaysia and the Finance Ministry.

Boost will announce a public launch date soon

The company will start alpha testing, involving employees, friends, family, and a selected group of customers.

The objective of the test is to guarantee users the best possible experience before the official public launch.

In 2022, Bank Negara Malaysia announced that it would be issuing digital bank licenses to five consortium

These groups, including RHB Bank, planned to launch a digital bank by the end of 2023 and successfully introduced a prepaid Mastercard debit card a few months ago.

Boost and RHB jointly applied for a digital bank license for the Boost Bank. Boost holds a 60% stake, while RHB owns 40% in the consortium.
