Dyson's latest hair dryer, the Supersonic Nural, has arrived in Malaysia, boasting three advanced sensor technologies to nurture and improve your hair

The sensor technology is designed to enhance scalp health and improve hair shine.

Dyson's founder and chief engineer James Dyson said that by limiting heat damage, users of the hair dryer can attain both a healthier scalp and healthier hair.

"Our new Supersonic Nural has a time-of-flight sensor which recognises your head and reduces the heat as it gets close to your hair, preventing heat damage to both your scalp and your hair," Dyson said.

The hair dryer's sensors can activate three features when in use: Scalp Protect mode, Attachment Learning, and Pause Detect.

The Scalp Protect Mode uses Nural sensors that automatically reduce heat as the hair dryer approaches your head, protecting your scalp from potential damage.

Dyson said one compelling aspect that sets its latest hair dryer apart from competitors is the sensors' ability to not only prevent heat damage but also enhance the styling experience by boosting hair shine.

The time-of-flight sensor projects an infrared beam to measure the distance between the dryer and your hair, making the device suitable for dry, sensitive, and oily scalps.

Besides new and improved attachments tailored to various hair types, the hair dryer also features attachment recognition technology that learns a user’s styling preferences, ensuring fast and healthy drying without causing heat damage.

The Supersonic Nural also boasts reduced airflow and noise, while its Pause Detect and Attachment Learning features enable quick hair drying

The hair dryer is equipped with an accelerometer called Pause Detect, which senses when it's set down. When a user places the hair dryer down, this feature kicks in to deactivate the heater and reduce airflow and noise.

Meanwhile, the Supersonic Nural also comes equipped with a motor six times faster than conventional models, helping its users to dry their hair quickly. The Attachment Learning feature further reduces drying time by allowing the hair dryer to remember your styling preferences.

In short, the Supersonic Nural is designed for people on the go who prioritise both hair health and energy efficiency.
