This feature allows you to check the weather or traffic situation in places that have installed CCTVs for public viewing

TikTok user @sunnydamsel shared this discovery on her social media platform, explaining that this is a simple hack if you want to check if the cherry blossoms are blooming or how the weather is at Han River or other areas.

Curious to check it out, I tested the app and discovered that it provides CCTV footage for most of the highways across the country. The footage is free to view, even if you haven't arrived in South Korea yet.

Take note that while you can see many locations, you might not be able to view every single road, partly due to security purposes.

However, you can see some popular cross junctions and other areas, such as those in Incheon, Busan, and Seoul.

Here's how you can check it out for yourself:

1. Download the NAVER Map on Google Play Store or the App Store
2. Type in the location you want to explore then click the two boxes on the right hand corner
3. Click the 'CCTV' option
4. Click on any of the CCTV cameras you want to check out and you can watch live footage from there
