Apple has revealed six new devices, including its first foldable smartphone at its 'Surprise and Shine' hardware event

Held earlier today, 9 September, in the US, Apple chief executive officer John Ternus took the stage for his debut keynote, steering the tech giant into fresh territory.

Here is a quick recap of the gadgets bound for Malaysia.

1. iPhone Duo

Apple's first foldable, the iPhone Duo, is passport-sized when closed and unfolds into the thinnest iPhone yet.

It features a glare-reducing 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer screen.

Powered by the A20 Pro chip and dual batteries, it boasts up to 44 hours of video playback.

A bespoke iOS 27 introduces Split View, whilst the camera adds AI-driven "Smart Take" auto-capture and "Duo FaceTime" for shared calls.

Available in Star White and Night Sky, the device starts at RM9,499. Pre-orders begin on 16 October ahead of a 23 October launch.

2. iPhone 18 Pro

The iPhone 18 Pro delivers a notable battery boost and a redesigned Dynamic Island handling three simultaneous Live Activities.

Powered by the advanced 2nm A20 Pro chip and an energy-efficient C2 modem, it runs iOS 27 with fully integrated Apple Intelligence.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 48MP Fusion camera featuring a variable aperture, manual "Pro controls", and an unalterable Apple Reference Image format for secure digital negatives.

Available in black, silver, glacier, and burgundy, the device starts at RM5,499. Pre-orders begin on 12 September ahead of its 18 September release.

3. iPhone 18 Pro Max

The iPhone 18 Pro Max matches the Pro's advanced feature set, including the 2nm A20 Pro chip, iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence, and the 48MP Fusion camera with variable aperture.

Capable of delivering up to 45 hours of video playback, it also sports the redesigned Dynamic Island, an efficient C2 modem, and the unalterable Apple Reference Image photo format.

Available in black, silver, glacier, and burgundy, it starts at RM5,999. Pre-orders open on 12 September ahead of an 18 September release.

4. AirPods 5

The standard AirPods 5 introduce a new multiport acoustic architecture and Adaptive EQ for enhanced audio quality.

The upgraded Active Noise Cancellation now removes up to 50% more background noise compared to the previous generation.

These wireless earbuds also feature Apple Intelligence-powered Live Translation and hands-free Siri head gestures for seamless control.

Priced at RM599, the standard AirPods 5 are now available to pre-order, with a full release scheduled for 18 September.

5. Apple Watch Ultra 4

Aimed at athletes and outdoor adventurers, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 delivers up to 50 hours of everyday battery life, extending to a massive 84 hours in Low Power Mode.

Powered by the S11 chip, it introduces a new Health Sensing System for high-frequency heart monitoring and a daily 0–10 "readiness" score.

It also runs watchOS 27 with Siri AI and an Audio Intelligence suite featuring sound recognition and live audio rewinds.

Available in natural and black titanium, it starts at RM1,799. Pre-orders are open now, with a full release scheduled for 18 September.

6. Apple Watch Series 12

Available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, the Apple Watch Series 12 offers 24 hours of everyday battery life, with up to 10 hours during outdoor workouts.

Powered by the S11 chip, it runs watchOS 27 with Siri AI and features a new Audio Intelligence suite. It also introduces the advanced Health Sensing System and a daily "readiness" score.

Offered in aluminium, titanium, and a newly introduced ceramic option, the smartwatch starts at RM1,799. Pre-orders are open right now, ahead of an 18 September release.
