Mitsubishi officially launched their latest Xforce compact SUV at the 30th GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show last week

The all-new robust and compact SUV model was recently unveiled to an enthusiastic crowd at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) – BSD City.

The Xforce will be one of the cars that will be built at Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia located in Bekasi, West Java. It is scheduled to launch in Indonesia, with launches planned for other ASEAN countries as well as South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

The Xforce was designed with ASEAN drivers in mind — each feature was developed based on the way compact SUVs are used in the region

For example, the raised ground clearance was implemented to clear bumpy roads or flash floods that are frequent in our region.

The Xforce combines a sleek and strong appearance with the practicality of compact car, delivering exceptional manoeuvrability, a roomy interior, and versatile storage options. It ensures secure driving on diverse road and weather conditions, making everyday journeys thrilling and worry-free.

"While ensuring it meets the requirements for driving performance, ease of handling, a comfortable interior, wide-ranging user-friendliness, and everything else demanded of a compact SUV, we have put our heart and soul into the development of the all-new Xforce to bring excitement to the everyday driving of our customers," said Takao Kato, president and chief executive officer, Mitsubishi Motors.

"This compact SUV was developed to answer the needs of drivers in the ASEAN region and has gone through repeated tuning in the region’s road environment. We hope the all-new Xforce will become a best-suited buddy for any adventure that drivers wish to embark on, giving them an extra force to go one step further and experience something new," he added.

Going to the wild outdoors doesn't mean you have to leave luxury behind, as seen by the impressive interior of the Xforce

The interior is dressed in mélange fabric, a first for a Mitsubishi model, exuding a sense of enclosure with continuous coverage up to the door trim.

The highly practical fabric emanates modernity and sophistication while being resistant to stains, creating a comfortable space in which passengers can relax as if they are in their own living room.

Despite its compact exterior, the Xforce provides a generous interior area that allows all occupants to unwind. To amplify comfort, the front seats provide a premium seating experience, including ample shoulder room. Moreover, these seats offer a combination of support and cosiness, reducing sideways body motion during actions like changing lanes or traversing uneven terrain, ensuring passengers can unwind effortlessly, even during congested traffic.

The interior is further enhanced by a monolithic instrument cluster that is subtle yet commanding. The monolithic instrument cluster is part of the 'Horizontal Axis' concept akin to the one found on the latest Triton pickup truck. It also features a low-set dashboard offering better visibility and instant information.

For the first time, the Xforce comes equipped with Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium developed in collaboration with Yamaha Corporation

The system is comprised of eight speakers, with front tweeters on the A-pillars on both sides, woofers in the front doors, and coaxial two-way speakers in the rear doors. In order to maximise speaker performance, measures have been taken to optimise sound quality in the car itself.

With volume and sound quality adjusted according to vehicle speed, passengers can enjoy well-defined mids and highs and dynamic bass even on rough roads. For an improved driving experience, the sound system also offers four sound types that can be selected according to musical taste and mood – Lively, Signature, Powerful, and Relaxing.

The Mitsubishi Xforce is anticipated to make its way to Malaysia soon, so stay tuned for more updates!
