Malaysia's leading non-national MPV — the Mitsubishi Xpander — has been updated with a striking new appearance

Mitsubishi has refreshed its popular Xpander model with a highly anticipated facelift, which is now available in Malaysia in two variants.

The standard Xpander starts at RM99,980, while the more feature-packed Xpander Plus is priced at RM109,980. This introductory offer is only valid for registrations until 31 December 2024, so act fast!

The updated Xpander boasts a more refined exterior that aligns with the sophisticated and active lifestyles of its owners

The Dynamic Shield front fascia, featuring a horizontal bumper and a three-dimensional skid plate, exudes power and confidence. The T-shaped headlights, available in LED for higher trim levels, enhance forward visibility.

At the rear, the Xpander showcases a wider and more stable appearance with a new light design, a horizontally styled spoiler, and a bumper. The T-shaped tail lights, equipped with LED stop lights, improve nighttime visibility.

The Xpander rides on 17-inch wheels with round-rim alloy wheels featuring a robust and progressive two-tone design. Inside, the horizontally sculpted instrument panel creates a spacious feel. The redesigned steering wheel, with its sporty and powerful look, offers a comfortable and confident grip for the driver.

The new Xpander is comfortable to drive and handles really well

The car offers the highest ground clearance in its class — 225mm of ground clearance, raised by 20mm over the previous Xpander — so it can easily tackle bumpy roads or even floods. You'll have a great view of the road from the driver's seat.

Under the hood, it's got a 1.5-liter engine that's powerful enough to get you where you need to go.

The Xpander Plus has some fantastic new features that make driving even easier and more enjoyable

It now has an electric parking brake. It's a small but significant upgrade that can save you time and effort, especially in tight parking spaces or on steep inclines.

The Xpander Plus also boasts an auto-hold function. This feature automatically holds the vehicle in place when you release your foot from the brake pedal at a stoplight or in traffic. This is particularly helpful on hills or in stop-and-go traffic.

For safety, there's a new All Round Monitor (ARM) and a front and rear Driving Video Recorder (DVR). The rear DVR records everything in front of the car while you're driving.

The interior of the higher-trim Xpander is even nicer. The armrests and door trims are soft and have real stitching. The air conditioning panel has a clear display, and the metres are easy to read.

There's plenty of room for everyone in the Xpander. Seven people can sit comfortably, and there's a big trunk. The second and third rows can be folded down in different ways to fit more stuff.

The 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift is now available in Malaysia

It's assembled right here in Pekan, Pahang. The base model starts at RM99,980, and the upgraded Plus version is RM109,980.

The first 500 people who purchase an Xpander online will get a free Naturehike Camping Wagon worth RM400. Additionally, you get a five-year warranty with no mileage limit.

So, if you're looking for a spacious, comfortable, and reliable SUV, the Xpander is a great option!
