Instagram is experimenting with full-length horizontal videos lasting up to 90 minutes
Titled Features, the new tool lets long-form creators, such as podcasters and stand-up comedians, link their bite-sized Reels directly to full-length landscape clips.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the test is currently rolling out to select creators across the US, following an initial trial in Brazil.
"What you're now going to be able to do is, you see a clip of a podcast that you love, you can just click and continue watching or watch the full video, and you'll be able to dive in and see the whole thing because creators are going to be able to link these Reels to their overall feature," said Tessa Lyons, vice president of product at Instagram.

Instagram is setting its sights firmly on YouTube and living room television screens
The pivot towards long-form content is seen as an effort to capture consumer screen time from streaming giants and YouTube.
Instagram is also expanding its smart TV footprint to Apple TV in the US, hoping users will cast these widescreen videos straight onto their living room displays.
"We think the best viewing experience for long-form horizontal content is on a big, horizontal screen, and so I think that is where we will expect a lot of the deep consumption to happen over time," Lyons said.
Meta is also exploring episodic formats via a tool called Series
The tool caters to the booming appetite for micro-dramas across Southeast Asia.
The tech giant didn't reveal when this feature will be rolled out to Instagram users.
