Netflix Hikes Prices For All 4 Subscription Plans In Malaysia

Netflix has raised its monthly subscription fees across all tiers in Malaysia

The US on-demand streaming provider increased the prices of its Mobile, Basic, Standard, and Premium plans in Malaysia, with the new rates taking effect immediately.

The price hike also applies to extra member slots for account sharing.

Here's how much Netflix subscribers will pay for each tier

  • Mobile Plan: RM19.90 per month, up RM1 from RM18.90
  • Basic Plan: RM33.90 per month, up RM4 from RM29.90
  • Standard Plan: RM55.90 per month, up RM6 from RM49.90
  • Premium Plan: RM69.90 per month, up RM7 from RM62.90

Extra member fees have also increased

Previously, adding an extra person outside your household cost RM13, but the fee has now increased to RM14.90 for each additional slot.

This extra charge applies to both Standard and Premium subscribers who utilise the account-sharing feature.

According to Netflix, the price adjustments are meant to help the company continue delivering new films, documentaries, and television programmes.
