Touch ‘n Go eWallet has re-enabled its Face ID and Touch ID authentication feature for users

Now, you can make payments in public without entering the six-digit PIN to confirm QR payments. Additionally, Touch 'n Go eWallet offers the option to enable PassKey, allowing password-free logins.

The Face ID and Touch ID authentication feature ensures that payments are made conveniently and securely

Touch 'n Go eWallet initially had facial recognition for payments, but this feature was removed.

Earlier this year, the feature was reintroduced but only for app launches, not for payments.

Now, the Touch 'n Go eWallet is back with the facial authentication feature, but it's only available to selected users

If you're eligible, you'll find a new Security Authentication option in your profile settings.

You can choose either device biometrics or a six-digit PIN to proceed with payments. This method also works for DuitNow, QR payments and reloading the Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card via NFC.

Besides that, Touch ‘n Go eWallet also has implemented the new Passkey feature for extra security

FIDO Alliance and World Wide Web Consortium created the PassKey login method, allowing you to log into the app securely without using a password.

Remember, your passkey will be stored on your device and protected with your biometrics.

The Passkey feature is now available on iPhones with iOS 16 and newer. For Android users, ensure your device has a biometric sensor to use this feature.

Here's how to create a passkey for your Touch ‘n Go eWallet:

1. Go to your Touch ‘n Go eWallet’s profile page.
2. Navigate to Security Authentication.
3. Select Login and then tap on Passkey.
4. Tap on Create a Passkey.

If you fail to log in with your Passkey or if it doesn't work, you can always log in using your six-digit PIN.
