Touch 'n Go has just unveiled its latest product series — the Cat Edition RFID tag — featuring none other than... Oyen

The new design means RFID tags are no longer just for toll payment, they also add a touch of purr-sonality.

The Cat Edition RFID tag is Touch 'n Go's first-ever mid-sized limited-edition RFID tag.

It's fitted on your vehicle's left windscreen or left bumper, allowing drivers to go through tolls without having to fuss about payments.

Linked directly to your Touch 'n Go eWallet, the Cat Edition RFID tag automatically deducts toll fares when driving through RFID lanes

Here's how to make the most of the new Cat Edition RFID tag:

  • Placement is Key: Use the DIY fitment guide to affix your tag securely to the left windscreen or bumper of your car. Avoid placing it on the headlamp to comply with Road Transport Department (JPJ) guidelines.
  • Stay Topped Up: Ensure your TNG eWallet is always funded. Activate auto-reload in the app for added convenience, so you'll never have to worry about running low.
  • Keep Your Distance: In RFID lanes, maintain at least three metres from the vehicle in front to ensure the scanner picks up your tag seamlessly.
  • Utilise SOS Balance: If your eWallet balance is insufficient, eligible users can benefit from SOS Balance, a feature that gives you a 24-hour grace period to reload your eWallet and settle outstanding toll payments.

If you haven't already set up your RFID, here's a quick guide on how to get started:

Step 1: Link Your RFID Tag to Your eWallet

  • Open the Touch 'n Go eWallet app
  • Navigate to the RFID section in the main menu
  • Enter your RFID Tag details (found on the tag packaging or in your purchase
  • confirmation email)
  • Link your tag to your vehicle registration number and eWallet account

Step 2: Top Up Your eWallet

  • Use your debit/credit card or online banking (FPX)
  • Visit nearby kiosks or partner outlets for a quick top-up

Step 3: Enable Auto-Reload

  • In your app, go to Settings > Auto-Reload Settings
  • Activate auto-reload and select your preferred amount (e.g. RM50 or RM100)
  • Link it to your debit or credit card for seamless refills.
