Singapore's Fastest Internet Provider Will Soon Be Available In Areas With Unifi
ViewQwest will be expanding beyond Johor and Petaling Jaya.
ViewQwest, which according to Ookla is Singapore's fastest internet provider, will soon be expanding across Malaysia
SoyaCincau reported that ViewQwest will be expanding its coverage beyond Johor and Petaling Jaya via TM's High Speed Broadband (HSBB) network.
This would mean that areas with Unifi coverage will be able to switch over to ViewQwest when it rolls out.
It is expected to reach new service areas sometime in June or July, though the actual speed options and pricing are not known yet
However, ViewQwest did announce some details of what customers can expect, SoyaCincau reported.
Those announcements include:
- A Mesh WiFi worth RM1,299 will be bundled in with the broadband package.
- A value-added service called 'Freedom DNS' will be offered as well, and it helps subscribers unlock geo-restricted content.
- A Buyout promo where subscribers will get an RM500 rebate if they leave their existing broadband contract.
- No additional deposits for foreigners.
- The option to sign up without taking a contract.
Currently, ViewQwest operates in a limited number of areas in Johor and Petaling Jaya
Their current plans include speeds of 100Mbps from RM138/month and 1Gbps from RM198/month with a 24-month contract.
For non-contract plans, consumers can get speeds of 100Mbps plan at RM158/month, while the 1Gbps plan is priced at RM218/month.
There is no quota on home plans. Additionally, ViewQwest offers symmetrical upload and download speeds.
