Beyond the lure of substantial prize money, participating in drone racing offers enthusiasts the opportunity to refine their drone piloting abilities and hone their skills to meet international standards.

FPV drone racing is a challenging sport, requiring intense focus and skill

FPV drone racing is a groundbreaking sport that enables pilots to control their drones from a first-person perspective at remarkable speeds, creating a captivating fusion of the virtual and physical worlds.

These pilots rely on crucial equipment like goggles, a controller, and a drone equipped with FPV cameras to help them navigate complex high-speed tracks.

Pilots race against identical, custom-built drones, achieving speeds exceeding 120km/h while navigating intricate three-dimensional courses. Success hinges on a racer's agility in manoeuvring the obstacle course, with the fastest pilot securing the win.

The DRA International FPV Championship involves insane verticality

The upcoming race at Plaza Low Yat will mark the world's first-ever vertical drone competition, featuring an impressive height of 20 meters. This distinctive course is designed to challenge pilots, placing a strong emphasis on speed and precision as they navigate through specified obstacles and gates within a more confined and vertical space.

The event will consist of two categories: DRA Rookie and DRA Captain. The Rookie category is designed for newcomers looking to explore the sport while still competing at levels suitable for beginners to intermediate skill levels. On the other hand, the DRA Captain category is tailored for seasoned professionals.
