Xiaomi Has Opened Its First Store In Malaysia... And It's Not In KL
The store will sell a wide variety of exclusive Xiaomi products.
Xiaomi fans, good news! The Chinese electronics manufacturer has opened its first physical store in Malaysia.
On Monday, Xiaomi Malaysia took to Facebook to announce the opening of its first-ever physical store in Malaysia.
"It has been quite a happening year for Mi so far. Let’s not stop here alright - we’re super excited to announce that Mi Premium Reseller Store is officially here in Malaysia and the first store is located at Queensbay Mall, Penang," the company said.
Yay, Penangites!
While the shop might not be as full-fledged as a Mi Home outlet, it still carries a number of exclusive products that can't be found in Xiaomi's Lazada online store
Some of the products being sold at the store include:
- Mi LED Desk Lamp (RM159)
- Mi Air Purifier 2 (RM529)
- Mi Bluetooth Speaker Square Box (RM89)
- Mi Trolley 90 Points Suitcase 20″ (RM289)
- Mi Trolley 90 Points Suitcase 24″ (RM339)
- 90 Mi Smart Metal Suitcase (RM1,849)
- Mi Minimalist Backpack Urban Life Style (RM159)
- Mi Smart Scale White (RM119)
The store also sells power banks, selfie sticks, and other accessories
It's good to note that not every item in the store is for sale. The Mijia Rice Cooker, Mi TV, and Mi QiCycle Folding Electric Bicycle in the window are just there for display purposes.
That’s unfortunate because these are the products that Malaysians wouldn’t mind grabbing. :(
Nevertheless, make sure you pay the store a visit if you happen to be in Penang!
The grand opening event is happening this Saturday, 29 April.
The store is located at 2F-110 (East Wing) 2nd Floor, Queensbay Mall, 100 Persiaran Bayan Indah, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang.
