Instagram has officially rolled out a new feature that lets users rearrange posts on their profile grid, giving people more control over how their profile looks
For years, users who wanted a perfectly curated Instagram feed had to plan posts in advance, archive old content, or even delete and repost photos just to achieve their desired layout.
Now, that's no longer necessary.
With Instagram's new 'Reorder Your Grid' feature, you can move posts around on your profile and place them wherever you want
Whether you want to showcase your best travel photos, pin a recent achievement higher up on your feed, or simply fix a layout that has been bothering you for months, you can now do it without affecting the original post itself.
How to rearrange your Instagram grid:
- Go to your Instagram profile
- Tap and hold any post on your grid
- Select 'Reorder Grid' from the pop-up menu
- Long press and drag posts to your preferred position
- Release to place them where you want
If you're wondering whether rearranging your grid will affect your pinned content, it won't. Pinned posts and Reels will remain fixed at the top of your profile, regardless of how the rest of your grid is rearranged.
Your changes are saved immediately and will be visible to anyone who visits your profile.
The update gives users more creative freedom to customise their profiles and highlight the content they feel best represents them.
