PH MP Urges People To Vote By Sharing Pic Of Elderly Woman On Stretcher At Polling Station

Sim Tze Tzin, who is the Bayan Baru member of parliament (MP) from the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition, took to his Facebook page today to urge people to come out and take part in the 2023 state elections

The voting in Kedah, Kelantan, Penang, Terengganu, Selangor, and Negri Sembilan is underway, with voting centres in all six states opening at 8am and will close by 6pm today, 12 August.

\Taking to Facebook, Sim posted a photo of an elderly woman, who was seen on a stretcher.

"Old aunty, sick. Still come out to vote although on a hospital bed. She is voting for the sake of her children and grandchildren. Have you voted? Let's vote," he said in the caption of his post.

According to Sin, the elderly woman cast her vote in N35 Batu Uban, Penang at the Penang Youth and Sports Complex polling station

The Batu Uban seat sees a three-cornered fight between A Kumaresan from PH, Mok Kok On from Perikatan Nasional (PN), and Lee Kim Noor from Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA).
