The tech giant is using Apple Intelligence to upgrade accessibility features like VoiceOver and Magnifier for users with visual impairments.
The updates allow your phone's camera viewfinder to answer complex, multi-turn questions about your surroundings.
Users navigating an app with Voice Control can also use natural language to describe what they see instead of memorising rigid commands.
These features are slated to be released later this year.
Even the Apple Vision Pro is getting a futuristic upgrade, allowing users with physical disabilities to steer compatible power wheelchairs using only their eyes
The eye-tracking feature works in various lighting conditions and requires minimal calibration.
For anyone struggling with uncaptioned online videos, Apple is introducing on-device generated subtitles that privately transcribe spoken audio.
This feature will work seamlessly across the entire ecosystem, including iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
Apple emphasised that these advancements prioritise user security while expanding digital inclusion
"Now, with Apple Intelligence, we are bringing powerful new capabilities into our accessibility features while maintaining our foundational commitment to privacy by design," said Apple CEO Tim Cook.
The rollout also includes an updated Accessibility Reader that easily deconstructs complicated multi-column layouts, such as academic papers, to provide automated summaries
Senior director Sarah Herrlinger noted a key benefit: Intuitive options for deep personalisation.
"With these updates, we're bringing new, intuitive options for input, exploration, and personalisation — designed to protect users' privacy at every step," she said.
Apple also announced the launch of Hikawa Grip and Stand for iPhone, now available in three vibrant new colours on the Apple online store
Created by designer Bailey Hikawa in collaboration with PopSockets, the adaptive MagSafe accessory helps users with physical disabilities hold their devices more securely.
