It's official — Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh is married

After almost two decades of partnership, Michelle Yeoh has officially wed her partner, Jean Todt.

According to an Instagram post by the couple's close friend and Brazilian Formula One (F1) racing driver, Felipe Massa, the duo finally tied the knot at an undisclosed location in Geneva, Switzerland. Revealing details of the wedding invitation he received, Massa congratulated and shared his love for the couple in the caption of the post.

"We met in Shanghai on 4 June 2004. On 26 July 2004, [Jean Todt] proposed to marry [Michelle Yeoh] and she said YES!

"Today, after 6,992 days on 27 July 2023, in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together," read a portion of the invite.

As stated briefly in the invitation, Todt met Yeoh in Shanghai 19 years ago, popping the question just a month and a half after meeting her

In a report by Malay Mail, Todt is a well-known figure in the world of motorsports and F1, having led Ferrari, together with technical director Ross Brawn and driver Michael Schumacher, to multiple world championship titles.

He eventually became the President of Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), with his term ending in December 2021.

Yeoh herself has also had one heck of a year, making history this past March for becoming the first Asian woman to win Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Academy Awards.
