It's official. Squid Game is coming back for Season 2!
After taking the world by storm last year, Netflix has released its first teaser for the show's highly-anticipated sequel.
"Red light... GREEN LIGHT!", it playfully tweeted in reference to the famous game in the series.
Along with the eerie 10-second teaser, the show's director, writer, and executive producer Hwang Dong Hyuk has a message for the fans
"A WHOLE NEW ROUND IS COMING," read the exciting letter released on all of Netflix's official social media channels.
"It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular Netflix series ever," he flexed.

In his message, Hwang confirmed that protagonist Seong Gi Hun, played by actor Lee Jung Jae, will be returning
He also teased that "the man in the suit with ddakji", a character portrayed by Gong Yoo who had a brief but impactful role in the show, might be back.
Most excitingly, Hwang said,"You'll also be introduced to Younghee's boyfriend, Cheolsu."
For the uninitiated, Younghee is the name of the animatronic doll introduced in the first season of the show, who became a fan-favourite icon for eerily chanting "mugunghwa kkoci pieot seumnida" and killing people in the game of 'Red Light, Green Light'.

In anticipation of Season 2, Netflix Malaysia has also brought Younghee to downtown Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur!
According to Netflix Malaysia's official Instagram, the creepy doll is currently watching over the walkway in front of Fahrenheit88 shopping mall for fans to take pictures of and pretend they're in the killer show with.
Are you excited for Season 2? We're excited to meet Cheoulsu!
