Balenciaga Unveils Wallets That Look Like Crumpled Potato Chip Bags You Find On The Floor
It's not litter, it's fashion.
Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga has once again taken a playful, unique design approach, and this time, it's not a trash pouch but a crinkly wallet
In October 2022, the fashion house stirred up controversy online when it launched Lay's-branded potato chip bags worth USD1,500 (approximately RM6,434). Plus, actor Michael Shannon was spotted at the MET Gala this year with a Cheese and Onion flavoured potato chips maxi pack purse, which amused netizens.
Now, the brand has unveiled a minimised version in the form of a wallet.

The wallets have a deliberately "crumpled" look with foiled corners to mimic the feel of a discarded bag of chips

As part of Balenciaga's upcoming Summer 2025 collection, these wallets come in two forms: bifold and trifold.
Available in black, yellow, and green, the wallet functions like any regular wallet with several card slots and pockets for cash.
It's unclear how much these wallets cost.

Many netizens aren't too sure of the design, with several of them commenting that they might accidentally throw it away
