Dato Seri Vida has amazed Malaysians yet again when she appeared in a video speaking Mandarin with Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing

In a video posted on Fan's Instagram profile yesterday, 11 July, Vida, whose real name is Datuk Seri Dr Hasmiza Othman, is seen introducing her popcorn brand, Papilon Popcorn, to the actress.

"[This popcorn's flavour is] salted butter and we put almond and cashew nuts to [blend the flavours in].

"Hao chi ma (Is it delicious)?" asks Vida, to which Fan replies, "Hao chi (delicious)!"

The award-winning Chinese actress says the popcorn is both sweet and salty while continuously grabbing some to pop into her mouth.

After sampling Vida's popcorn, Fan introduces her face mask products under her cosmetic brand, Fan Beauty Secret

The 42-year-old actress describes the sharing of each other's products as an exchange of gifts.

Vida then promotes Fan's products in Mandarin, saying the face masks have bu shui (hydration) and mei bai (whitening) properties.

In her signature style as a savvy salesperson and entrepreneur, Vida claims that using Fan's face masks can make anyone as beautiful as the brand owner.

At the time of writing, the video has garnered over 560,000 views on Instagram

"Unexpected duo," read a top comment.

"Did she (Vida) sing you any song?" a netizen asked in jest, referring to Vida's typically flamboyant and eccentric songs.

"Fan Bingbing still has an inventory [of content] filmed in Malaysia. Please share more, sister! I love watching them," wrote a fan.

Over the past few months, Vida has been impressing Malaysians with her Mandarin while promoting her popcorn brand

Prior to her success as an entrepreneur and celebrity, Vida worked for 12 years as a teacher at a Chinese school in Ipoh, Perak, reported Berita Harian.

"I know that many people do not know the different side of me, who was once a teacher at a school in Perak for 12 years.

"Of course, I am good at communicating in Mandarin and not just blindly throwing words without understanding the meaning.

"Twelve years was long enough for me to learn and understand the Chinese language. Furthermore, I taught in a Chinese school, so it helped me to some extent to communicate with students who spoke the language," she said in an interview in 2015.

Vida majored in Malay literature and history in her undergraduate studies before reportedly attaining master's and doctorate degrees in marketing and biology, respectively.
