BLACKPINK wasn't the only one in our area. YB Hannah Yeoh was there as well!

Malaysian Youth and Sports Minister Yang Berhormat (YB) Hannah Yeoh was spotted wearing the appropriate colours for the occasion at the BLACKPINK concert last Saturday, 4 March.

Many locals were amazed at her dedication to the event and for acknowledging the fandom.

Pink is definitely her colour!

YB Hannah Yeoh also showed massive support towards the fandom, both before and after the concert

Hours before the concert, she tweeted a reminder to the fans, who are also known as BLINKs, to take public transportation to and from the venue as an effort to ease the traffic congestion during the night.

She also showed her support throughout the entire concert via her Instagram Stories, stating that Pink Venom was her favourite part and new favourite song.

Hannah Yeoh also mentioned that it would be amazing if the K-pop girl group could return in the following years to come.

She added that the concert had successfully morphed her into a BLINK.

After the event, the 44-year-old politician took to her Twitter to praise the BLINKs for their orderly behaviour.

"Thousands used the LRT services. Music (is) just like sports, (it) can bind us together. Well done, Malaysian BLINKs!"

The tweet has since garnered over 16,500 likes, 4,000 retweets, and over one million views

Many Malaysians were grateful for the support from the minister and the organisers involved.

"Thank you, YB Hannah Yeoh. I had so much fun yesterday, good job YB, Live Nation, and everyone," praised a user.

Users also requested other talents to come perform in Malaysia with one commenting, "YB, please bring in artistes from the '80s and the '90s for those of us who are in our 40s," to which another user replied, "I want the Spice Girls!"

However, some users couldn't help but to bring up the difficulties that our local artistes face in expanding their musical careers due to the expensive financial requirements.

"Local music is always forsaken. (Music) licenses for the local community is very expensive," commented a user.
