Locals Help Inform LRT Users Of Faulty Train Door By Holding Up Photo Of A Caution Sign
"Not all heroes wear capes."
Issues of LRT malfunctions are nothing new around the Klang Valley area.
However, a couple of helpful locals took a step in ensuring that their fellow Malaysians are not left inconvenienced in these instances.
A recent TikTok posted on 11 March has been going viral after two men decided to help other LRT users who may have been confused over a couple of faulty doors on a train.
In the 14-second clip, a man named Iskhandar can be seen holding his phone against the glass window on an LRT door while at a stop. After shifting the camera slightly, a notice can be seen displayed inside the coach, informing LRT users that the door is out of service, and therefore would not be opening or closing.
Aiming to inform other LRT users outside the compartment who may not have noticed the sign, Iskhandar takes a photo of the notice and holds it up against the window to inform others of the malfunction.
His efforts seemed to be acknowledged by a few people who see his photo. They proceed to walk towards one of the other doors and make their way inside the LRT.

In a brief conversation with SAYS, the man who took the video and posted it to his TikTok page, Malie, stated that the incident took place at a stop on the Kelana Jaya LRT line.
Since being posted two days ago, the TikTok has garnered three million views and almost 50,000 likes on the platform
Many people in the comments section praised the men for taking such steps and being considerate of other people taking the LRT who may not have noticed the sign.
"Thanks for your effort to help show people the information," wrote one person, while another stated, "Malaysians are really good when it comes to working together."

However, a fair share of people who commented under the TikTok expressed their confusion over the notice only being posted on the inside of the coach
"Stick it so it faces the outside," wrote a few people, while one user commented, "If it was me, I'd try to move the notice to the outside of the train if it could be peeled off."

Clarifying the situation, Malie commented under the post stating that the notice was indeed printed back-to-back on the piece of paper, though he and Iskhandar's intentions were to help others see it more clearly.

Nevertheless, multiple people still praised the men for going the extra mile to help others, as many admitted that they wouldn't have seen the sign at first glance.
"There are trains with the notice pasted inside and outside, but I feel as though some people don't see or read it. They'll still wait there until it opens," the user penned.
