"We're Tired Of Running" — Malaysians Race To Catch MRT After They Arrive At The Same Time
According to the user who posted the clip, he hasn't faced the same issue since it went viral on Twitter.

A recent Twitter video has resurfaced of a group of Malaysians seen running from one MRT to another on the same platform at the Kwasa Damansara station
Posted in December 2022, the tweet was initially released by Malaysian Ikmal Arif (@payottt) as a response to another tweet related to Transport Minister Anthony Loke's undercover inspection of the commuter service.
In Ikmal's post, he captured a clip of Malaysians running from one MRT stop to another, as their train arrived just as the opposite side was about to leave. The 13-second clip displayed the strangers dashing across the platform as soon as the MRT doors opened.
Unfortunately, most of them didn't make it in time, as the doors had closed before they had an opportunity to enter the MRT.
The caption of the post read, in translation, "Please fix the timing, it's tiring to run every day." Seemingly directing this message to Loke, Ikmal's caption implied that this is a regular occurrence for Malaysians using the MRT at the Kwasa Damansara stop — where the timing of each MRT arrival and departure is not coordinated efficiently.
Since being released, the video has garnered over one million views and been liked by almost 18,000 Twitter users
A few Twitter users chose to find some comedy in the situations, writing that those who work in the office could get skinny by running through this every day.
"If this was happening daily, Malaysia would be able to produce runners on the same calibre as Usain Bolt. If not that, we'd have people that are super fit," said one user.
Others even mentioned the unnamed girl in the grey baju kurung, whom most referred to as the fastest runner of the bunch, being able to make it onto the other MRT in time.
"This lady is running like her life depends on it. You go girl!" wrote another person.
Unfortunately for those who frequent the Kwasa Damansara MRT station, some users even stated that this occurrence is the norm for them.
Nevertheless, a few users expressed their heartfelt concern over the video, saying that it is not the people's fault if the MRT comes at the respective time.
"Synchronise the timing to suit the arrival and departure. Pity the people who have to suffer in this predicament daily," penned one user.
Another user even stated that it wouldn't be great for people to have to sprint and use all their energy before the work day has even begun.
However, a few individuals also pleaded in the comment section to those who are in authoritative positions to ensure such a situation doesn't happen again.
"I don't know why, but I feel sad when I see Malaysians having to run so fast, especially the girl in the grey baju kurung. To run away from the road traffic, you have to run in the MRT," he commented.
One user even gave a simple suggestion, to time the MRT's a minute or two in difference of arrival and departure, so people would not have to run on a daily basis.
In a brief conversation with SAYS, Ikmal noted that after the video went viral, he, as a frequent user of the MRT at Kwasa Damansara, never faced the issue again
All in all, it seems as though the time period which the clip has been uploaded, until now, changes have been made that hopefully put Malaysians' minds at ease over their rail transportation method.
