These Selfies With Gorillas Taken By Anti-Poaching Rangers Are Too Cute To Handle

"Another day at the office".

When someone says the phrase "Another day at the office", it's likely that the first image you conjure up is of someone sitting in a cubicle at their 9 to 5 job

However, a viral photo posted on The Elite AntiPoaching Unites And Combat Trackers' Facebook page proves that some people simply have more interesting jobs than others.

The post has garnered over 22,000 shares since it was uploaded on 18 April.

Along with park ranger Mathieu Shamavu, the selfie stars female gorillas Ndakazi and Ndeze

While one gorilla stands casually with her side profile facing the camera, the other leans slightly forward from behind Mathieu, as if in an effort to make it into the frame.

"Those gorilla gals are always acting cheeky so this was the perfect shot of their true personalities!" Virunga National Park wrote in an Instagram post after the photo went viral.

The photo was taken at the park in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the two gorillas have been living since their mother was killed in 2007.

The park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, is home to the world's only facility for orphaned mountain gorillas that are separated from their family due to poaching

Over 600 rangers dedicated to anti-poaching efforts are required to go through an intense training process before being able to work for the park.

The process takes approximately six months to complete.

These pretty epic selfies probably make it all worth it, though...

It's not just the anti-poaching rangers who get to enjoy some quality time (and snaps!) with the adorable apes

Anthony Caere, a pilot who works for Virunga National Park, has a few of his own.
