China's 200-Metre-High Aerial Playground Has People Questioning Its Safety
Visitors are free to run around without wearing harnesses.
A video of a playground suspended in the air in China has been circulating the Internet, raising concerns about its safety

A tourist site constructed the playground in the sky, which features a large net suspended between two cliffs at a height of 200 metres (650 feet).
Located within the Goose Team Adventure Park in Xiuyan Village, in Zhejiang, China, aerial footage of the playground shows families with young children happily playing on the 'football field' mesh.
According to South China Morning Post, the playground spans 1,500 square metres and is crafted from high-density polyethylene material, incorporating a double-layer netting system.
Opened in October 2023, the park imposes a weight limit of 90kg per person and can accommodate up to 50 people at a time
The park's manager explained how the playground evokes a sense of nostalgia for adults, transporting them back to their "childhood times".
"Even if you don't want to move and just chill under the sun, it is still very relaxing," he said in the video on Newsflare.

However, many people are concerned about the safety of visitors, who are free to run around on the net without wearing any harnesses
One person commented, "Just because we can doesn't mean we should," while another expressed having trust issues.
"I feel nervous just looking at this," said one person.
Meanwhile, others felt the opposite, questioning the safety difference between the playground and roller coasters or gravity-defying rides in theme parks.

"We can responsibly say that this facility is definitely safe. No one would treat life as a child's play. If it were an unsafe project, it would not be placed there," Newsflare quoted the park's management as saying.
They also reassured the public that the playground has protective nets on both upper and lower levels, with regular inspections conducted every day.
