A 6-Year-Old Ipoh Boy Was Found Dead In A Washing Machine
He was found unconscious in the washing machine by his grandmother.
Yesterday, 16 October, a six-year-old boy was found dead inside a washing machine by his grandmother at their home in Ipoh
According to Berita Harian, the grandmother was left distraught when she found her grandson unconscious inside the top-loading washing machine in Kampung Sungai Tapah Tambahan, Manjoi.
Ipoh district police chief ACP Yahaya Hassan said police received a report about the incident at 11.44am after the six-year-old was taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB).

The child was with other family members in the house before he was found unconscious
According to Yahaya, he was found in the washing machine at about 9.30am.
"The victim was unconscious by the time he was discovered by his grandmother. He was then sent to the hospital by ambulance, but was pronounced dead at 11.02 am this morning (Monday)," he said in a statement last night.
Post-mortem results showed that the cause of the death was head injuries caused by a blunt object

"We believe the victim may have climbed onto the washing machine and fell into it when it was still running," Yahaya said, adding that the victim was autistic.
"The police would like to remind the people, especially parents or guardians, to not let any child under their care be left without adequate supervision to prevent such tragedies," he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) Child Act 2001, for neglect.
