"It not only makes this a family-oriented environment but it also gives these staff a chance to feel wanted and respected."

The iconic A&W outlet in Section 52, Petaling Jaya is in the spotlight once again for a heartwarming reason

On 20 July, Twitter user @OhhB_ shared a photo of two staff at the A&W outlet.

"A&W Petaling Jaya has gained my respect for hiring hearing impaired and senior citizens. It not only makes this a family-oriented environment but it also gives these staff a chance to feel wanted and respected," the tweet said.

"It was nice seeing them communicate thru sign language! Salute!"

The tweet has since received over 2,900 retweets and 3,000 shares, with many netizens praising A&W for its hiring practices

"We need more of this. Giving the needed (sic) the chance as well," said one netizen.
